eCommerce Software - Design Service
Although our eCommerce solution is very simple to use and to apply a new look and feel to, you do need a basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS style sheets in order to really stamp your branding on the store software.
Why not take a look at our portfolio of designs and you will see how radically different each one is when compared to the default template we supply. Plus unlike other eCommerce solutions, our software is flexible enough for designers to work the templates and produce truly unique designs.
This is where our team of experienced web designers can help you! They have masses of experience in creating completely bespoke designs for store owners and never work from templates. In fact they follow a set brief to ensure the store look and feel is exactly what you are looking for:
-
Stage One - Purchase your license or design service
The first step is to purchase one of our design packages. You can either add it to your order when your purchase your eCommerce software license or you can order our design service after you have purchased a license.
As soon as you have made your purchase, your order will be allocated a "design slot" normally within 10 days of placing your order.
-
Stage Two - Initial Briefing
The next step is to get you to complete our simple eCommerce design questionnaire. This document is designed so that our team can get a firm idea of what you are after, how you would like to store to appear and if there any special considerations to the design layout or colour scheme.
-
Stage Three - Information Gathering
At this stage we will ask you to provide the content for your store. Your eCommerce license will have been issued so you can start to add your products whilst our design team is creating your first draft.
We will ask you to provide additional content though such as text for your about us page, delivery information etc. as well as any custom images or logos you would like to use.
-
Stage Four - Initial Draft
Our design team will produce an initial draft for you to view so you can get a better idea of how the brief translates into your design.
At this stage you can ask our designers to make changes to the design within the brief limits and "tweak" the look and feel of the design until you are happy. Note we normally only produce three revisions but additional revisions may be available at an additional charge.
-
Stage Five - Sign Off & Go Live!
Once you are happy with your design, you just need to let our design team know and we will upload the final template.
Your store is now ready to start trading!
Some Common Questions...
We realise you may have some questions about our design service so please take a look at the most common ones below, browse our portfolio or contact us for more information!
Q - How long does the design process normally take?
This really depends on several factors, how many designs we are currently working on, how complex your design is, how many changes you require etc. but we normally advise to allow 4-6 weeks for the complete design process.
Q - Why do I have to pay up front for the design?
Due to the low cost of our design service and to avoid wasting your time and ours, we do ask for full payment up front before we commence work. This way we can both be assured that the job will be completed to the highest standard possible within the timeframe allowed.
Q - Can I make changes after the design is complete?
Yes you can! You can either make changes to the files and upload the changes yourself or you can ask our design tem to make the changes for you. Our hourly rate is a very reasonable £35 + vat per hour for additional changes.
Q - Do I own the copyright for the design?
Yes, once the design has been signed off, you own full copyright to the design and layout.
The copyright for the store software however remains with ourselves.
Q - Can I provide a mock up of how I would like the design to appear?
Yes by all means as this will aid our team and speed up the design process.
Please note however that we may need to make some changes to your design where appropiate in order for it tow work with the software.
Q - I'm a graphic designer but my coding is terrible! Can you help?
We certainly can! We offer a reduced rate of you provide the design and just require us to integrate the software.
Please note however that we may need to make some changes to your design where appropiate in order for it tow work with the software.
