Install Wizard

The store has a built in installation wizard that will walk you through the installation of your store. To get started open your browser and go to http://www.yourdomain.com/install where the www.yourdomain.com is the location of your store.

Stage One - Check Environment

The first step is to check everything is in place and correct. Click the Check Environment button to continue.

The system will then check that all the files and connections to the database are present. Take note of any errors and correct them if required.

To continue, click the Set Store Defaults button.

Stage Two - Set Store Defaults

Enter the following information where indicated:

Store URL - This is the URL for your store. The system will automatically detect where it is installed so you should not need to change this value.

Secure URL - Again this is auto-detected but you should only use the https:// prefix if you have a secure certificate installed.

DSN - Enter the name of the ColdFusion DSN you created in the Preparation section.

Once you're done, click the Check Database Connection button.

The wizard will then attempt to connect to the database and will warn you if it finds that a database already exists.

NB: IF YOU INSTALL OVER AN EXISTING DATABASE ALL DATA WILL BE LOST!

You should now click the Create Tables and Data button to populate the database.

Stage 3 - Store Information

Once the database has been populated, you will need to enter some basic infomation about your store:

Company Name - The name of your company or store

Address details - The trading address for your company or store

VAT Reg. No - You only need complete this if your are VAT registered as this will appear on invoices created by the store.

Email Contacts - Enter the names and email addresses for your sales, support and administration contacts. These can be all the same email address if you wish.

Meta Tag Title - The default text to appear on your title bar

Meta Tag Description - The default text to appear in your meta tag description

Meta Tag Keywords - The default text to appear in your meta tag keywords

Admin details - Enter a strong admin username, password and full name to access your admin area after the wizard completes.

Now click the Finalise Installation button to continue.

Installation complete!

The store instalation willl now be complete and the administration files should self-destruct. You should now login to the admin area and enter your licence key.
