Creating the database

Dependent on your host, you may need to ask them to create a database for you.  You should create a MySQL4 or 5 database and assign a username and password to it.  The install wizard will populate the database for you.

ColdFusion Datasource

Dependent on where you are hosting your store, you may need to ask your host to create the ColdFusion datasource.  Choose a datasource name that is not easy to guess and using a combination of numbers and letters.

Restricted ColdFusion Tags

The system does use some ColdFusion tags that may be restricted in their use by your host.  This can be overcome by asking your host to sandbox your domain in order for you to use the tags.  The required tags that may need to be sandboxed are:

CFFILE

CFDIRECTORY

CFHTTP

CFSEARCH
